Social audits are a big part of making sure that all your production partners are meeting their social responsibilities. It assesses a company’s actions, procedures, and code of conduct regarding social responsibility and also the impact a company has on society. The Social Labour Convergence Program (SLCP) is a multi-stakeholder organisation that includes manufacturers, retailers and brands, agents and audit service providers, as well as civil organisations that have the interest in converging assessments and improving labuor and social conditions. The aim of this organisation is to synchronise all audit efforts between brands working with the same factories. It is also a platform where different audit types can be compared to ensure that your selected audit is as thorough as possible. Through this collaborative approach more transparency is created.
MUD Jeans has been a signatory of the SLCP since the beginning. By the end of fall 2020, we will have completed our first audit with them.
