The Process

At Tejidos Royo the yarns are dyed using Cradle2Cradle Indigo dye and water. At the moment we’re working on implementing a technique called Dry Indigo where no water is needed to dye the yarns. Until we avoid all use of water during the dying process Tejidos Royo uses a purifier that cleans the water and makes it save to be released into the environment. After the yarns are dyed they are woven into a fabric cloth. A quality check is performed before the fabric is shipped to our denim manufacturer Yousstex International.

A fabric that does good

With their commitment to social and corporate responsibility the company founded the José and Ana Royo foundation. It supports people in need inside and outside of the company. With their social and environmental engagement, they add extra value to their high-quality fabrics.

Recycle Tour

In 2016 we went on a road trip to deliver the first patch of old MUD Jeans to the recycling factory and see the recycling, weaving and dying process ourselves. Have a look inside the factory
